The JROTC bought home five trophies from the Langham Creek Raider Challenge competition over the weekend and placed second overall. Another highlight was beating all the other CFISD teams.

The team notched three 2nd place finishes in the 5k team run, the cross country rescue and the fitness challenge. They added two 3rd place finishes in the Raider Gauntlet and the vehicle pull.

“The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the “extra,” and impossible and possible is Im so if we put our best effort and work as a team nothing is impossible and we can all win,” Major Frederick said.

That mindset has propelled the Panther cadets to success this year. They prepare for their competitions by running, working out and doing body weight training.

A week earlier our cadets took first place in the Commander’s Cup a Fitness and Academic challenge at Sam Houston State’s First Annual Schuders Challenge. Our cadets placed 3rd overall and Jose Serrano won the Most Motivated Leader Award.
