In the first week of April at the Texas TSA (Technology Student Association) State conference in Fort Worth, TX, Cypress Springs placed top 10 in 15 out of 17 categories.
Students competed in both UTE (Unique to Texas) as well as NQE (National Qualifying Events) categories. In UTE, the State conference is the highest level of competition, and in NQE, students who place in the top 3 advance to the National TSA conference.
Cy Springs TSA director Jose Chapela said that competing students have gotten wonderful opportunities to honor their school and showcase the talents that qualified them for their rankings.
“TSA provides an avenue for students to show off skills involving technology and manufacturing,” Chapela said. “TSA allows us to stand out more and show off all the good things about this school.”
