Among the busy hallways, one girl sticks out for her ability to persevere in the face of difficulties
in addition to her academic excellence. Introducing Sarah George, a senior with an outstanding
academic record who has skillfully managed the challenges of high school.
The difficult chore of completing college applications, which many students find frightening, was
the beginning of Sarah’s journey. But Sarah met this challenge head-on, giving her everything to
her studies and the difficult application procedure. Her ability to balance these obligations says a
lot about her work ethic and time management abilities.
“I think the achievement I’m most proud of is getting through college applications while still
giving a good amount of time to school and being able to juggle the two,” Sarah shares humbly.
Sarah had periods of avoidance and procrastination, but she also learnt the value of starting
projects on time. She found that doing tasks ahead of schedule helped to reduce the anxiety
that comes with approaching deadlines and improved her ability to concentrate on her
academics.
Sarah drew motivation from her father, who encouraged her to pursue a career that fulfills her,
during her scholastic path. Sarah was inspired to work for a future in which she, too, might find
fulfillment in her profession by seeing her father’s passion for his work in spite of the long hours.
“I think my dad impacted me the most because he always talks about how much he loves his
job and yet he works so much, so I want to do something I love,” Sarah reflects.
Sarah’s accomplishments speak for themselves. She wants to graduate with honors, which will
be a testament to her commitment and hard work, in addition to passing her current year with
flying colors. Sarah is determined to achieve, and she intends to do well in college.
Sarah George aims to major in Mechanical Engineering, with potential aspirations for a master’s
degree, aligning with her demanding course load. Her university choices, including A&M,
University of Michigan, Virginia Tech, and her dream institution, Cal Poly, reflect her
determination and focus on her academic and career goals
