As Senior year comes to an end it is a time of reflection. You look back on how far you have come and prepare to take the next step. The mixture of emotions can at times be overwhelming but when the Class of 2024 looks back they will have lots of moments to be proud about. The last year is suppose to be the best year and the Senior Panthers made sure that saying came true.
From the beginning of the year until the end success was abundant.
Our athletes shined with boys cross country, boys water polo, football, girls basketball, boys basketball, swim, wrestling, girls spring tennis, boys soccer and boys track representing Springs in postseason action. Manny Vela represented at the State Cross Country Meet finishing 11th and was named to All-State Team. Vela also finished 5th in 3200m at the track state meet where senior Jacoby Harmon claimed the State Championship in the 800m.The girls wrestling team dominated competition to make the state meet where senior Lumiere Kahongo won 2nd place in her weight class. Caden Feith won the district diving championship for the third time in a row and returned to state where he finished 11th. Our athletes hard work and success earned 20 of them college scholarships. Our Senior artists, thespians and musicians achieved the highest ratings possible in multiple contests while our FFA members brought home top accolades at livestock shows and contests all across the State. Senior ROTC Cadets, Panteras and Cheer represented their groups at events and competitions all around the area. (see Clubs for more coverage)
Fifty One Seniors earned associate degrees as part of the College Academy from Lone Star College. Seniors represented in competitions ranging from Cosmetology, Culinary, Fashion Design to TSA and others earned certificates in Automotive and Welding. (see News for more coverage)
The Class of 2024 has left their mark and no doubt will do the same in their future endeavors.
